These days you will see the term "Virtual Tour" used all over the internet. While they all have the same idea in mind (to show the home on the internet) they are very different in how they accomplish this task. When a Virtual Tour is available it us usually one of the following.....
... a slide show
Just a fancy way to show a few photographs, it does the job on showing still shots but there is no interactivity and no way to get a "feel" for the space.
... "stitched together" photographs
A series of photographs that are stitched together to make one large photograph, which you move your "viewer" from right to left. These never represent the area correctly and usually have ugly lines where the photographs are put together. Some of these will produce the "circle effect" as if you are standing in a room and looking around, however the images are warped because photographs are static and converting them into a full motion image that represents the space is impossible to do.
... a "fish-eye" Virtual Tour
Two photos are taken with a fish-eye lense and later "fused" together. The motion is fluid but there can be light differences and lines where the two photographs meet as even this option is a "stitched together" image. These tours usually cost upwards of $2,000!
... a Clearview360 Virtual Tour
Each scene is taken with one shot capturing the entire room. No messy lines and no stitched pictures. The shot is preformatted to be converted into a Virtual Tour and the result is a clean, true representation of the space. The viewer can view the complete area with ease. It is clear to see why our Virtual Tour solution is the most cost effective and best way to show your space!
